R&R
Ahhhh... don’t I wish mornings looked like this. They don’t...lol
Last night I was on the phone with a friend when I saw my daughters head pop up on the monitor and the crying start... only a few hours after she had been put to bed... and only two hours after she had her FIRST wake up of the night. This time she woke up her brother which doesn’t happen often... but every time it does I contemplate separating them...
Evidently we are in the midst of the 12-month regression. It truthfully feels like the first year (or more) is one big regression with babies but after all my research (mostly triggered by pure desperation in the middle of the night... lol). I understand “why” the regressions happen. And also how important it is to be consistent so we can help set our kids up for slumber success. Nonetheless that doesn’t necessarily make it any easier when you are in the trenches... egghh.
I have been hesitant to share much about the sleep training we have done because it’s not “perfect” but on most days the twins are sleeping in their cribs... in the same room... 12+ hours at night. And have been for a while. That said... I’m happy to hear what tips and tricks you swear by... or what gets you through the regressions! Let me know below!! Currently I’m reminding myself as I often do that this is just a phase and soon I won’t even remember it...! I mean... I did somehow forget about going through this with my oldest! If you are interested I’d be happy to share what methods we have used!
