I’ve always wanted to say that…lol! It’s from MTV's series “Diary” (circa early 2000's), which documented the behind the scenes, unscripted, “uncut“ side of celebrities that we rarely, if ever saw. That is what I hope to share here. The behind the scenes of the curated pictures you might find elsewhere. Intentionality…
Happy New Year y’all! Mood for the year... intentionality.
For me 2020 was all about navigating competing priorities. All day... every day. And if it weren’t for the realization that I was just going through the motion some days and severely lacking intentionality... it might have done me in.

Happy New Year’s Eve eve. If you haven’t started already... the next 24-48 hours are the obligatory days to reflect on the prior year and think about what the new year will look like. Heehee!
Overcompensating much??
Merry Christmas Eve y’all! I still can’t believe it’s December... let alone Christmas... let alone the end of the year. Despite the fact that the season hasn’t felt as magical as it usually does for me... I definitely didn’t want that to be the case for my kiddies. So naturally that turned into overcompensating. Egghh.
A line has been drawn...
I have stopped and started this post several times over the past few days trying to find some “lighter” more fun things to share... but the truth is that is not what is on my heart at the moment.
A chapter in the book…
I’ve had a lot of convos with my inner circle lately and feeling so inspired and encouraged as we keep pressing through this season. Despite all the challenges this year has thrown our way… we have embarked on new ventures, tapped into talents we never knew we had, created new goals, pivoted and found a way to maintain… for the most part! Lol.
Creep creepin’
A few days in to Elf on the Shelf and I have already managed to creep my kid out...
I almost forgot to move our Elf on the Shelf the other night (have since added a reminder on my phone) sooo in the morning I did the best I could and his hiding spot ended up being on top of the refrigerator. Needless to say... he didn’t stay there all day.

Welllpp... our Elf on the Shelf made his debut! Despite the fact that I will usually hop on any opportunity to get creative we keep his antics pretty simple usually right until the last few days. I don’t like to set the bar or expectations too high because let me tell you... our oldest remembers and questions EVERYTHING!
Tired as a mother…
Truth be told... sleep has been one of the single most challenging aspects of the infant/toddler stage. Even though I “think” we are doing a pretty decent job... figuring out what issue might have one of the twins off their normal sleep schedule (teething, developmental milestone, illness, regression, time for a nap transition, wind blew the wrong way, etc. etc.) is... exhausting. Pun intended.

Last night I was on the phone with a friend when I saw my daughters head pop up on the monitor and the crying start... only a few hours after she had been put to bed... and only two hours after she had her FIRST wake up of the night. This time she woke up her brother which doesn’t happen often... but every time it does I contemplate separating them...
365 Days Later…
Well hello October... Am I the only one seriously in disbelief that it will be October tomorrow?! I don’t know how to feel... my twinsies are turning one... we have one month until one of THE most important elections of my lifetime... and only two months until the end of one of the most historic years I have ever lived through... when the h*ll and how the h*ll did the year go so fast!?
